Celebrations in Przemysl

The Greek Catholic community of Przemysl experienced a truly historical event. The 9th of September will be remembered as a very important date in the history of the Archdiocese of Przemysl – Warsaw as well as the whole Greek Catholic Church in Poland.
The 325th anniversary of reunification with the Holy See festivities began a few days earlier but the main event was scheduled for Sunday, the 9th of September.

There, on the steps leading to the main entrance, they were greeted by Przemysl’s parishoners and one of Archcathedral’s choirs, which sang a religious song „Vytay Miz Namy”.
Next, after the procession had reached the centre of the church, the Pontifical Liturgy began.
