On the 19th of December, local governments of the City of Przemysl and Przemysl region organized a special Christmas meeting in Przemysl Municipal Library. The hosts of the meeting were: Wojciech Bakun, the President of Przemysl and Jan Paczek, the Head of the Przemysl region. The get together was attended by local politicians, members of parliament, local government officials from Ukraine, representatives of law enforcement, fire department and health service, directors of companies owned by the local government and social activists.
The event commenced with Christmas blessing given by Most Rev. Eugeniusz Popowicz, the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Przemysl – Warsaw and Most Rev. Adam Szal, the Metropolitan of Przemysl of the Roman Catholic Church. Subsequently, both archbishops read fragments from the Bible about the birth of Jesus, in Polish and Ukrainian respectively, and at the end wished everyone Merry Christmas.
