Yesterday (4.11.2017), the parish community along with pastor – Rev. Krzysztof Blazejewski celebrated Saint Dimitrius The Myrrh-Bearer’s Day. Celebrations were attended by many Greek and Roman Catholic priests: Rev. Pawel Rohun – Metropolitan Curia’s Chancellor, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy, Rev. Jan Tarapacki – the Dean of Przemysl Deanery, Rev. Hegumen Dmytro Harasym, OSBM, Rev. Jozef FLorek – custodian of the Virgin Mary Sanctuary in Wielkie Oczy, Poland, Rev. Stanislaw Gorczynski – the local pastor and Rev. Deacon Wlodzimierz Kaczmar.
At 10.30 AM, Rev. Bogdan Kryk, the pastor of Rzeszow parish, served Supplicatory Canon to the Mother of God (Moleben’) and gave a sermon.
The Divine Liturgy was followed by the Blessing of Water and procession with St. Dimitrius icon.
The holiday attracted many religious and lay people from Poland and Ukraine.
