According to Archbishop Eugeniusz Popowicz’s decision, on the 14th May 2017 (Sunday) all offerings made by the faithful during Divine Liturgies in the whole Archdiocese are going to be spent on renovation of church on Mt. Javir, Poland.
Mt. Javir is a place of apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The church in this place was built thanks to collective work of local faithful and blessed by Most Rev. Josaphat Kotsylovskiy, prior to the Second World War.
In the first days of April 2017 the church was returned to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Poland. The building requires thorough renovation in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Operation Vistula in Lemkovyna properly.
